Yumbambé is Latin Jazz, bringing together the lush sound of jazz harmony with the vibrant rhythms of Afro-Cuban drumming. Lead by Eric "the FISH" Paton, Yumbambé floats the greats of the Jazz standard collection on the tide of Latin rhythm and culture that has splashed the shores of popular music for decades. The arrangements are presented in a diverse collection of rhythms including meringue, calypso, bembe, cha cha, samba and bossa nova. Male and female vocals along with an eclectic mix of authentic percussion instruments make Yumbambé a unique and exciting group. The band includes some of Columbus’ most prominent Jazz musicians, who have performed with many Jazz and Latin greats.
