A revised plan for the proposed Scioto Mile park system in downtown Columbus would lead to major renovations at Galbreath Bicentennial Park.
The new $38 million plan eliminates a river-level walkway that was panned at an April meeting of the city's Downtown Commission.
Instead, it puts money toward installing an additional fountain, a cafe and a performance stage at Bicentennial Park along Civic Center Drive.
Columbus Downtown Development Corp., the agency shepherding the Scioto Mile project, expects to present the Myers-Schmalenberger Inc.-designed plan to the Downtown Commission Nov. 27.
