The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for the Scioto Mile Concert Series, FountainFest and WinterFest Columbus. If you have questions about accessibility or wish to request an accommodation, please contact us by emailing CommunityEvents@Columbus.gov.

Requests made at least ten (10) business days in advance of FountainFest, WinterFest Columbus or each Scioto Mile Concert will generally allow us to provide seamless access; however, every effort will be made to meet requests received closer to the event date. When you make your request, please be prepared to discuss your needs with us, let us know if you will have a companion with you, and provide your name and contact information so that we can follow up with you.

Parking and Transportation

Bicentennial Park has two designated loading zones:

• Main Street: Located just east of the stage on Main Street near the intersection of Main Street and S. Civic Center Drive
• Amara Valet Zone: Located just past the entrance to the park restaurant on Civic Center Drive near the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Rich Street

Accessible parking is available in area surface lots and parking garages. Visitors can search for accessible parking using the ParkColumbus website: https://parkcolumbus.parkmobile.io/venue/bicentennial-park/events

Restrooms

Permanent accessible restrooms are located near the fountain in Bicentennial Park. In addition, there will also be an accessible portable restroom next to the stage for the Scioto Mile Concert Series, FountainFest and WinterFest Columbus.

Mobility Access and Seating

The Scioto Mile Concert Series, FountainFest and WinterFest Columbus are held outdoors. As with any outdoor setting, you will encounter various types of terrain, including concrete sidewalks, brick pathways, paved roads and grassy fields. You may find the occasional tree root or pothole.

The Scioto Mile is a large site. So please, plan accordingly as there are sometimes great distances between parking, points of interest and the stage. If it should rain, there could be mud or wet surface conditions. Please take this into account when navigating The Scioto Mile.

The Bicentennial Park Stage is in a park space with lawn seating with accessible routes connecting the entrance into the lawn seating area. Open seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Bicentennial Park does not offer fixed seating in front of the stage area. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs)

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) are available during event hours at the Front of House tent located in the center of Bicentennial Park. ALDs should be returned to security at the tent where you picked up the device at the end of the day.

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted throughout the Scioto Mile.
