Columbus Recreation & Parks, Flying Gent Mercantile and Columbus Young Professionals Club have teamed up for the most talked about fashion event of the summer! Uniting live music and runway fashion all on one stage, Fashion Rocks Columbus celebrates the energetic display of a growing culture of fashion in our city. The Floorwalkers, named “one of Columbus’ most beloved bands” by Columbus Alive!, will provide live music for this unique collaboration as top local designers and boutiques showcase their inspired looks. An outdoor social event hosted by the Columbus Young Professionals Club will kick off the evening in Bicentennial Park.
Columbus Young Professionals Club is a “for-impact” membership organization made up of young professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, creative thinkers and social individuals who live and work in the greater Columbus area. Columbus Young Professionals Club was founded in July of 2005 to offer events, athletics, and volunteer activities on a weekly basis to provide young professionals the opportunities to connect with each other. Young professionals ages 21-45 can join the organization to network, interact and serve the community.
The Floorwalkers, will provide the music for the event. The band has toured nationally since 2010 and remains completely independent. This year, The Floorwalkers plan to release another album, fully funded by the crowd. This allows the fans to directly support the band and allows the band to avoid major investments from a record label. The band is headed in a positive direction and Bicentennial Park is proud to welcome them as part of the Rhythm on the River series.
Fashion Rocks Columbus will be the first live fashion show and concert in the City of Columbus. Enjoy the unique sounds of The Floorwalkers as models rock the runway wearing apparel from top local brands. This is a night of food, drinks, music and fashion that you do not want to miss.
EVENING SCHEDULE: 6:30 p.m. – CYP Social Event begins/ Food and beverage sales begin 7:30 p.m. – The Floorwalkers 9:00 p.m. – Fashion Show featuring live music by the Floorwalkers
