CRPD’s Strawberry Food Truck Brings Delicious Eats to Rhythm on the River

Columbus Recreation and Parks Department’s Strawberry Food Truck will serve up sweet and savory delicacies on August 5 and August 19 at Rhythm on the River, a free event featuring music and movies in Bicentennial Park. The Strawberry Food Truck travels to various Columbus events with special edition meals by different featured chefs each time.

On August 5, the team from Buster Mac’s food truck will whip up their signature burgers and milkshakes made with Velvet Ice Cream. Check out the August 5 MENU created by  the guest chefs from Buster Mac’s Food Truck.

On August 19, Bleu and Fig Chef Isidora Diaz and Lara Yazvac of Two Top Consulting will come together to feature a delicious, yet down home menu featuring:

  • The Outlaw – a shredded beef sandwich topped with relish
  • Smoky Lemon Tater Salad
  • Purdy Pudding – strawberry and white chocolate bread pudding
  • Strawberry Horchata Popsicles by Rime Time Popsicles!

Proceeds from the meals sold at the Strawberry Food Truck support the Columbus Recreation and Park Department’s Free Summer Meals Program which provides free meals and snacks to children age 1-18 at a variety of locations throughout the summer months. In 2015 the Free Summer Meals Program provided over 600,000 meals to kids in need.
